UK: 100 Princes Street, the latest five-star property from Red Carnation Hotels, is scheduled to open on 1 November 2023 in Edinburgh.
100 Princes Street marks the first hotel in Scotland for Red Carnation. It is housed in the former Royal Overseas League Building in Edinburgh and planning was approved in 2020 to convert the members club into a five-star hotel.
The 30-bedroom hotel has been designed by Toni Tollman, Philippe Bonino, and Brian Brennan. It will feature local artwork throughout the property including custom-made tartan by Araminta Campbell and a central staircase decorated with a mural by Croxford and Saunders.
Amenities include a residents only Explorers’ Club offering guests a “quintessentially Scottish experience” as well as a 200-strong wine and whiskey display.
Upon opening, the hotel will aim to deliver a 2:1 staff-to-guest ratio.
When Red Carnation first revealed the property, Jonathan Raggett, managing director said: “Guests at 100 Princes Street will enjoy everything that makes Red Carnation so special; from our individually designed interiors, to the signature dishes of our president and founder, Beatrice Tollman.”
He added: “It has been a dream of ours to open a hotel in Edinburgh for some time, and with the best address in the city, it was well worth the wait.”
