Billesley Manor introduces braille wedding guide

UK: Luxury Warwickshire hotel Billesley Manor has launched a braille wedding guide as part of its equity, inclusivity and accessibility commitments.

Coinciding with National Braille Day on 4 January 2024, Billesley Manor Hotel and Spa has introduced a braille wedding guide designed to provide visually impaired guests with information including a detailed layout of the manor, its amenities, and more.

Available for use this month, the initiative forms part of a wider strategy to expand the hotel’s accessibility efforts throughout 2024. Plans are underway to extended the braille provisions to include menus and room information packs.

Laura Cherrington, sales director at Billesley Manor, said: “Today, more than 30,000 people in the UK use braille to help them communicate. At Billesley Manor, we believe in creating an environment where every guest feels valued and welcomed. The introduction of our braille guide aligns with our commitment to ensuring an inclusive and accommodating experience for all our guests, regardless of their circumstances.”
