Croatia debut for art’otel brand in Zagreb

Croatia: Art-inspired lifestyle hotel brand art’otel has debuted in Croatia in the capital city of Zagreb.

Featuring work from late painter and graphic designer Boris Bućan, art’otel Zagreb is housed within the Jewish Liturgical Municipality building which was built by architects Freudenreich & Deutsch in 1928.

The hotel features 110 rooms, a rooftop bar (opening 2024), restaurant and bar YEZI, four meeting spaces, a spa and an indoor pool.

Interior design studio Digital Space led the artistic concept for the property, which features original art by Boris Bućan. Bućan belongs to the New Art Practice generation of artists, who took an interest in combining visual art with technologies such as photography, Polaroids, photocopies, film, video, and graphic design.

Pan-Asian cuisine is served at the YEZI Restaurant & Teahouse, which is overseen by group executive head chef Werner Seebach, executive chef Dino Knežević, and dim sum chef Tom Tian Hau Low.

The rooftop bar is expected to open in Spring 2024 and will serve cocktails and light bites.

Spa facilities include treatments by Gemology, two saunas, a fitness centre with Technogym equipment, and an indoor pool.

Art’otel Zagreb joins hotels in Amsterdam, Berlin, and Cologne. Additional art’otel properties in London Hoxton and Rome are expected to open in 2024.
