Life House to operate debut The Wondrous World of the Duke

US: The Wondrous World of the Duke hotel in Louisville, Kentucky, will be operated by management company Life House when it opens this autumn.

Owned by Michael Motamedi, the speakeasy-inspired hotel is located above a coffee shop in the NuLu (East Market District) neighbourhood of Louisville. It marks the first property under The Wondrous World of the Duke brand.

It features 17 rooms equipped with full-service kitchens, a lounge, and a contactless check-in reception.

“I wanted to entrust this special project to an operator that could profitably run my hotel,” Motamedi said. “Life House’s adaptability and proven success with over 100 boutique hotels makes this partnership a no-brainer for me. I’m excited to scale The Wondrous World of the Duke brand and continue to work together as we open new locations worldwide.”

Motamedi recently opened Hotel Genevieve, the first location of Bunkhouse Hotels in Louisville. He has a large social media following, documenting his worldwide travels based on AI recommendations.

Rami Zeidan, founder and CEO of Life House, said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Michael Mptamedi on such a special project and to combine our collective love for travel, hospitality and technology to cultivate a truly unique experience in Louisville.”
