The 2GIG Z-Wave 700 Programmable Thermostat means that you can command your heating and AC systems from the thermostat or through your smart device the usage of a Z-Wave network. The 2GIG Z-Wave 700 Programmable Thermostat works with most up to date HVAC systems including: Standard Gas/Electric HVAC: 2-stage heating, 2-stage cooling. Heat Pump HVAC: 3-stage heating, 2-stage cooling and Humidifier/Dehumidifier reinforce. The thermostat will also be powered by 24VAC through the connected HVAC system (if both “R” & “C”wires are to be had on the thermostat) or the usage of four (4) AA batteries for up to two (2) years. DO not install batteries if the thermostat is powered by 24VAC. If the thermostat is battery powered it won’t be able to repeat Z-Wave signals in your network.
