Rosewood debuts in Germany this September

Germany: Rosewood Munich, the first German property for luxury collection Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, is open for reservations starting 29 September 2023.

The opening will mark the seventh property in Europe for Rosewood, taking its total worldwide portfolio to 32.

Rosewood Munich is housed across two historical buildings – the former headquarters of the State Bank of Bavaria and the Palais Neuhaus-Preysing. Architecture firm Hilmer Sattler and interior design firm Tara Bernerd & Partners led the restoration.

T. Bernerd said: “Rosewood Munich is our first project in Germany with Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and is a key moment for us. We have sought to bring a refined residential style with a contemporary take on Baroque architecture. This elevated sense of sophistication will provide a place for locals and distinguished travellers to come together in this vibrant and eclectic city.”

Amenities at the hotel include a lobby lounge, brasserie and bar, Asaya spa, and six event spaces.

Alpine-inspired restaurant CUVILLIÉS will serve seasonal produce sourced from local suppliers. Bar Montez will provide cocktails, wine, and spirits.

The spa is spread over two floors and includes an indoor pool, two saunas, a steam room, six treatment rooms, a wellness suite, and a fitness centre with Technogym equipment.

Roland Duerr, managing director of Rosewood Munich, said: “We are eager to welcome guests to Rosewood Munich this fall. Our sublime setting, within these two magnificent buildings situated in the center of the city, provides the perfect canvas for Rosewood’s guiding A Sense of Place philosophy. We look forward to contributing to the rich culture and hospitality of this vibrant community and creating unforgettable memories for our visitors from near and far.”
