Norway/Denmark: Scandic Hotels Group will expand its lifestyle portfolio under Signature Collection with openings in Norway (2025) and Denmark (2026).
Opening in 2025 in the Vervet area of Tromsø, Norway, the new-build, 305-room hotel will join two other properties that Scandic already operates in the area.
Over in Aarhus, Denmark, a 342-room hotel is also scheduled to launch in 2026. Scandic currently operates three hotels in Aarhus with a total of 541 rooms.
Both hotels will offer wellness areas including fitness centres, as well as meeting rooms, rooftop bars and other social F&B spaces.
The properties will also be environmentally certified by the Nordic Swan Ecolabel.
Thérèse Cedercreutz, chief commercial officer at Scandic Hotels Group, said: “Interest in experiences where the hotel is the destination itself has continued to rise, which is why it’s fantastic to be expanding our Signature Collection to Tromsø and Aarhus.
“The hotels are a central part of the urban development projects that are ongoing in each city and will create reasons to travel to both regions. At the same time, we are strengthening Scandic’s hotel offering to domestic and international guests, both in Norway and Denmark,” Cedercreutz added.
Scandic has five Signature Collection hotels in Stockholm, Helsinki, Bergen and Oslo.
