The Radical set for October opening in North Carolina

US: Boutique hotel The Radical is accepting reservations from 8 October, located in the River Arts District of Asheville, North Carolina.

The Radical, owned by Hatteras Sky and operated by Lark Hotels, offers 70 guest rooms and suites. It is housed in a 1920s warehouse with interiors led by Suomi Design Works. 

Local chef and restaurateur, Jacob Sessoms, will oversee the property’s dining venues. An outdoor courtyard with multiple terraces will host events including weddings and community programming. 

When open, The Radical will join Lark Independent – a collection of independent properties located throughout the US. There are currently seven hotels in the portfolio in the south east, operating under the brand’s third party management services.

Lark Hotels and Hatteras Sky will also introduce the 20-room Zelda Dearest, also in Asheville, once The Radical has opened. 

Hatteras Sky is a commercial real estate development firm abased in Atlanta. The company’s pipeline totals more than USD $600 million in Opportunity Zone projects. 

Hotel development and management company, Lark Hotels, has more than 30 properties in its portfolio. In 2020, Lark Hotels launched a third-party management division focused on the operation and marketing of independent hotels throughout the United States. In 2021, Lark Hotels launched Bluebird by Lark, a sister brand focused on the development of boutique roadside lodges.
