Welsh Valley boutique property Minffordd Hotel brought to market

UK: Hotel property advisor Christie & Co has been appointed to market the Minffordd Hotel in Tywyn, Gwynedd.

Set within a 2.1 acre paddock surrounded by riverside scenery, the Minffordd Hotel is located on the Mach Loop – a testing ground for RAF jet fighters.

The hotel offers a restaurant and breakfast room with period features, a lounge room with a wood-burning stove, and a main bar area with views over the valley. The property also includes seven ensuite guest rooms, ranging from twin to double rooms.

It has been owned and operated by Gordon and Michelle for the last 30 years, who are looking to retire and return to their home county of Cheshire.

There is potential for the new owner to modernise the existing business and make use of the paddock for camping facilities and further accommodation uses.

Sam Roberts, hotel broker at Christie & Co, said: “Situated in the most fabulous location, this boutique hotel has traded successfully over the past 30 years in the current owner’s hands and has welcomed many guests including celebrities, film crews and aviation enthusiasts. With Gordon and Michelle now looking to retire after many happy years, the opportunity has presented itself for new custodians to take this charming hotel to another level, building on what Gordon and Michelle have created and to expand business and further trade.”

Elsewhere in the UK, Christie & Co has recently sold The Limegrove Hotel in Pimlico, London to private buyers from overseas. Current listings, including the Grayshott Health Spa in Surrey, can be found here.
