Zien Group launches independent brand with hotel opening

The Netherlands: Zien Group, the parent company of Eden Hotels, has opened the Jan Luyken Amsterdam as part of a new independent hotel brand.

The 62-bedroom townhouse, located in the Museum Quarter of Amsterdam, has undergone a multimillion pound investment from Zien Group to transform it into the Jan Luyken. Interior design studio Nicemakers have led the renovation.

Bedrooms come in a range of sizes, from snug to studio. All feature local furnishings from Elle-La as well as Dutch designer Bonnie Barlag with CODAGE bathroom amenities.

Communal spaces include a library, a private house garden, an open-plan kitchen, and a gym with equipment from NOHrD. House hosts are available on premises to assist with requests.

CEO of Zien Group, Billy Skelli-Cohen, said: “This is an exciting time for our team as Zien Group reopens its first property outside of the Eden Hotels portfolio. We are continuing to unlock potential in our portfolio by reimagining some of our hotels while looking for growth opportunities throughout Europe.”

Zien Group was created in September 2022 as a platform to hold owned and operated hospitality businesses. In addition to refining the Eden Hotels portfolio, Zien Group aims to grow its independent brand across Europe and the UK.
